Independent caregivers can sometimes be cheaper. But they also come with many downsides, clients aren’t aware of when they sign up. Agencies provide key services including licensing, insurance, & backup scheduling when a caregiver can’t make it. If you hire an independent caregiver, you are essentially the employer and these services are your responsibility.
