Are your caregivers trained?
Our caregivers are highly trained and bring years of experience to the table. We prioritize the safety and well-being of our clients by requiring all our caregivers to be CPR and AED certified. Are your caregivers licensed & insured?
We are licensed by the state of Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). This means our agency and caregivers are licensed by the state of Florida. Our caregivers are insured under our policy.

Do you give background checks to your caregivers?
At Care Up, ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients is our utmost priority. We understand that peace of mind is crucial when inviting caregivers into your home. That’s why we mandate that all caregivers undergo comprehensive fingerprinting and successfully pass a Level 2 background check. This rigorous screening process helps guarantee that you are receiving care from qualified and trustworthy professionals. Your safety is our commitment.

What if I want a different caregiver?
We want the fit between you and your caregiver to be perfect. If for any reason it isn’t, we want to know—we’ll work with you to make changes in your care or match you with a new caregiver entirely.

What areas do you service?
We currently serve five counties in Tampa, Florida: Hillsborough, Hardee, Highlands, Manatee, and Polk.

Do you offer specialty care?
At Care Up, we understand the unique challenges faced by individuals requiring specialized care. Our experienced and highly trained caregivers are dedicated to providing compassionate and personalized support for a variety of needs, including hospice care, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Dementia, Diabetes, chronic conditions, and post-stroke recovery.

How do I know what kind of care I need?
After the initial consultation, our RN will collaborate closely with you to design a personalized care plan tailored to your specific needs. We understand that circumstances can change, and we are committed to regularly reviewing and adjusting your care plans to ensure they continue to meet your evolving requirements. Your health and comfort are our top priorities.

Is Home Care eligible for FSA reimbursement?
Home Health Care is eligible for reimbursement with a flexible spending account (FSA), health savings account (HSA) or a health reimbursement arrangement (HRA). Home Health Care is not eligible for reimbursement with a limited-purpose flexible spending account (LPFSA) or a dependent care flexible spending account (DCFSA).

Does Medicare cover home care?
No, Medicare does not cover non-medical home care services, such as personal care, companionship, or assistance with daily activities. However, Medicare may cover certain medically necessary home health services prescribed by a doctor, such as skilled nursing or therapy. For non-medical home care, we can help explore other payment options, including private pay, long-term care insurance, or state-funded programs. Do you accept Long Term Care insurance?
